Our leaders have gone insane, so insane that the average American is stocking up on guns, ammo, food, water and seeds. I guess I’m average.

I dusted off my crystal ball. Shook it and turned it upside down like the directions said. it told me "try again later.'

I hope you are right, but I'm not so sure. So far our contract negotiation is going nowhere. management wants $6.00 pay cuts and seem to be at a baseball game whenever we are set to meet. Guess they are not negotiating in good faith. Economy will not recover until the unions are broken for good.

We already have a currency backed by nothing but faith. We need to get rid of the national debt and go back to when government has the power to print money without going into debt.

    yup

now you know why ppl are stocking up on food and ammo

ppl aren’t stupid- there’s only a few ways this can go

most likely the states will get bailout money from the gov’t and then be owned by the fed with tons of federal mandates on the states. Other states may look to isolate themselves….

hmm lesse, last time this happened we had a civil war. Make no mistake- the civil war wasnt about slavery. It was about taxes and mandates from the FEDslavery was an excuse to crush the south

That article (and articles) from Market Skeptics are near to true economic/economic news, in my perspective. Ever notice why it is not mention in the mainstream media of possible food shortages due to heavy, unusual percipitation within these plantation/harvesting areas, including the mid-west?

I understand your view but also look at this. Most republicans are fighting against giving unemployment extension at a time where people are suffering badly. I have been reading many blogs of people desperate wanting this next unemployment extension and they are angry about the republican senators fighting against it. More and more people are needing it daily. I know many people are saying not to vote for those senators in a re-election. So it could go either way in the future..we will have to wait and see…but I am one of those people who say that any senator who opposes the extension will not get voted back in a re-election I dont think.

    hopefully very unlikely

how many times should unemployment benefits be extended?

It's already considerably higher than that taking into account a lot of folks have no benefits left.

If all of those people at tea parties and tea party sympathizers show up at the polls, we have a shot at making a real change. Liberals are all about change, right?

The conservative Fox news station and its talk shows ratings are indicative of a growing interest in non-liberal views. Now we need some candidates to run on a "spend less" platform and I honestly don't care what party they are from.

Any increase in government spending results in temporary higher incomes and lower unemployment, but also higher inflation. In the long term, however, incomes and unemployment revert to their natural rate and the inflation is lasting.
